What to Expect

Where do I park?
If you are a guest at Greenwich Baptist Church, we invite you to use the designated Guest Parking spaces in the upper lot. These spaces are close to the entrance of the building and provide an easy way to join us for a worship service or event. Handicap or special needs parking is also available near the building's main entrance and designated by signage.  The main parking are is the lower lot which is on your right as your come up the driveway.

What about my children?
At GBC we love children of all ages. During all Sunday worship services we offer classes with loving and caring volunteers that will have activities planned for your children. Children 4 years old and younger will be taught a Bible lesson during the 9:30am Worship hour with extended care available for preschool parents attending Bible Study. Children in grades 1 through 5 have class on the second floor of our main building with an age appropriate Bible lesson, activities and games. During the worship hour, parents should sit with their grade school-aged children. Additionally, GBC offers Children Worship Bulletins to help kids remain attentive and involved during worship. Students in grades 6 through 12 have Bible Study in the GBC youth cabin at 11:00am.
For GBC events or special services, the schedule for youth, children and preschoolers sometimes varies. Contact the church office with questions.

How should I dress?

At a GBC worship service you will find a variety of styles of dress. Some attenders wear suits or dresses each week while others prefer to worship in jeans and polo-style shirts. GBC does not have a dress code. Our only request is that those attending GBC services and events dress modestly so as to keep attention on God and not the appearance of an individual. For fellowship, outreach or other events dress is usually casual, but depends on the specific event. Either way, you will not be singled out for your choice of attire.

How can I become a member?
Membership at Greenwich Baptist Church is an outward sign of an inward commitment to serve Christ through a particular body of believers. Membership can be obtained in the following ways:
Accepting Jesus as Savior and being baptized - All members of GBC profess faith in Christ as outlined in the "What We Believe" section of our website. Following this profession, members are encouraged to follow Christ's example of baptism.
Transfer of membership - GBC accepts the transfer of membership from churches that have similar doctrine to that of our church. This includes accepting Jesus as Saviour and baptism. Speaking with one of our ministers is suggested before joining in this manner.
Statement of faith - For those individuals who have accepted Christ and been baptized, but do not have a church they have previously been attending may join through a statement of faith. This is basically a statement of your beliefs and that you have accepted Christ as Lord of your life.
